JulySki 2017

Sun, Jul 2 - Tue, Jul 4

Time: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Experience the novelty of JulySki July 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Many of our long-timers remember skiing in July at Mt. Bachelor in the past, and with so much snow this winter (approaching 600" at mid-mountain), we can't pass up the opportunity to bring back the tradition this year and ski from the 9,065' summit.

JulySki will start from the Sunrise Base Area - tickets, rentals and parking will be available 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sunrise and Summit lift will start spinning at 8:00 a.m. with Summit open until 1:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available at the Sunrise Lodge (next to tickets) to start your morning off right. At the base of Summit sandwiches, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase during the day starting at 9:30 a.m. Once you've wrapped up your morning skiing and riding drive over to West Village to enjoy mountain biking off Sunshine Accelerator and a BBQ on the West Village deck, or even take a scenic chairlift ride to the top of Pine Marten and soak in the views.

A few important notes about JulySki:

  • Uphill travel to the summit is currently closed for mountain ops preparations. Please respect our ops team as they get ready for this exciting event. There will be no uphill travel permitted during JulySki.
  • Planning to RV camp during JulySki? Please abide by our normal summer camping policy and park your RV in West Village. There will be a shuttle running from West Village to Sunrise on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 7:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. every 15 minutes. RV camping will not be permitted in the Sunrise parking area.
  • JulySki is more about the novelty of skiing and snowboarding your favorite mountain in July than anything else. Snow has been receding fast over the past two weeks and more rock has become exposed. Patrol may close some terrain due to safety. We appreciate your cooperation staying out of closed terrain and look forward to hosting you for this memorable event.

Since Mt. Bachelor wraps up daily operations at 5:00 p.m. there will be no fireworks at the mountain. However, the town of Bend puts on quite the fireworks show off the top of Pilot Butte - the views are spectacular from most any spot back in town with a view of Pilot Butte.
