We've made it through the worst of the weather! The forecast is calling for slightly cooler conditions overnight and into Monday morning, allowing for a few inches of new snow to accumulate. And with drying and eventual clearing on Monday, we're planning to resume regular operations with skiing and riding on all terrain from Rainbow to Pine Marten.

Outback will need another day for the water to "drain" from the snow; we're hoping we can reopen that area on Tuesday. We'll also spend some time Monday assessing Summit and beginning storm damage repairs on the lift. We don't believe there is any serious damage, but it will probably take a day or two to fully de-ice the lift and replace some damaged parts. The top of the mountain likely received significant new snow; we're looking forward to getting you back up there as soon as we can!

With the recent wet weather, the snow may be a bit funky on Monday. We recommend sticking to the groomed areas until the snowpack dries out. We're planning a full grooming mission overnight to make as much of the mountain enjoyable to ride as possible. We look forward to seeing you here this week!

Our snow stake camera is at the 6,300 ft. elevation in the West Village base area. The image updates every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. We clear the snow from the snow stake board each afternoon at lift-closing time so that you can see how much new snow will be waiting for you in the morning! Remember that the amount of new snow may vary across the mountain due to wind transport, settling and temperature differences.

Other Information

The Winter Uphill Travel Policy is now in effect.  The Cinder Cone Route is open to hiking; all other areas of Mt. Bachelor are closed to uphill travel. The Summit Route will remain closed until the groomed Summit climbing road is built. We estimate it will be complete by Christmas.

Also please note that sledding and snow play are not allowed in the Mt. Bachelor permit area. The only exception to this policy is the Mt. Bachelor owned and operated Snowblast Tubing Park.
