After a couple of very warm spring days, the temperature has dropped back down to reality for this time of year. We even picked up a trace to half-inch of new snow overnight! Clouds are already clearing away on the east side of the mountain but it's still cloudy with snow showers on the West Village side. The forecast is calling for increasing sunshine as the day progresses, which is great news for the events that are planned!

The Dos Equis Most Interesting Snow Sculpture Contest will take place starting at Noon at West Village (for those 21 and older). Join us in creating your most interesting snow sculpture - we will provide the snow and you bring the creativity! A $100 Mt. Bachelor gift card will be awarded to each member of the team with the best sculpture. Registration will take place from 11:00 a.m. to Noon on the stage in West Village. There can be no more than 6 teams with 4 people on each team. Registration is first come first serve, so get there early to secure your team's spot. Read the complete event details here and make sure to bring your own equipment so that you can create your best sculpture!

Later in the afternoon, grab a cold Dos Equis in the beer garden accompanied by live music starting at 1:00 p.m. with Manimalhouse. The Dos Equis Apres Ski Party presented by World of Adventure continues until 4:00 p.m. in the West Village base area.

Also this weekend is the Nevado Demo. Stop by the demo tents in West Village to test the latest & greatest gear available to make your skiing or snowboarding day more fun.

We hope you can join us for a fun weekend on the mountain!

Our snow stake camera is at the 6,300 ft. elevation in the West Village base area. The image updates every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. We clear the snow from the snow stake board each afternoon at lift-closing time so that you can see how much new snow will be waiting for you in the morning! Remember that the amount of new snow may vary across the mountain due to wind transport, settling and temperature differences.
