Spring is making its return to Mt. Bachelor and the recent snowfalls have really helped maintain our coverage. We still have plenty of snow on the hill and the weather is looking pretty mellow in the days to come so the Spring riding will be back and in full effect! If you didn't get the chance to check out the Big Wave Challenge course it is still up and open to the public so head that way to channel your inner surfer. See you out there!

Remember, we're now operating on our spring schedule with lifts open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily. (Click here for complete details about our spring operating plan.) After a morning of skiing or riding on Sunday, World of Adventure presents the Dos Equis Apres Ski Party at West Village. Broken Down Guitars will be playing live from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.

Our intention is to stay open into May and until Memorial Day weekend if circumstances allow. Snow coverage remains excellent (as you can see in our web cameras) except for the flat zones around the base areas. We'll continue snow hauling each night to fortify the snowpack around the Pine Marten and Skyliner lift terminals.

All pre-purchased tickets and passes expire on our closing day in May so we hope you can join us several times during these final weeks of our 2014-2015 skiing and snowboarding season!

Our snow stake camera is at the 6,300 ft. elevation in the West Village base area. The image updates every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. We clear the snow from the snow stake board each afternoon at lift-closing time so that you can see how much new snow will be waiting for you in the morning! Remember that the amount of new snow may vary across the mountain due to wind transport, settling and temperature differences.

Other Information

With the seasonal closure of Sunrise Lodge and parking, a modified Winter Uphill Travel Policy is now in effect. All groomed runs are closed between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. except Leeway to the Cone Route.

  • The Cinder Cone Route is open to hiking 24/7 without restrictions, but please stay clear from maintenance, snow removal and grooming vehicles.
  • The east side Summit Route begins at the base of Rainbow Chair and ascends the edge of Flying Dutchman run to the groomed Summit climbing road. The Summit route is conditionally open ONLY when the Summit lift is operating and open to the public. It is permanently closed before 9:00 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m. each day. If the Summit lift is open, access the the route between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. by parking in the Skyliner/JRC lot and walking through the Sunrise parking lot to Sunrise Lodge. From there, ski to the base of Rainbow Chair and begin your ascent on Flying Dutchman run.

Please note that sledding and snow play are not allowed in the Mt. Bachelor permit area. The only exception to this policy is the Mt. Bachelor owned and operated Snowblast Tubing Park.

Also please note that the use of drones is prohibited at Mt. Bachelor. View the Drone Policy.
