Please note that as of Monday, April 20th all group ski/snowboard lessons will no longer be offered. Private lessons can be arranged with an advance reservation by calling 800-829-2442. SKI OR RIDE IN 5 ℠
Awarded the Best Beginner Program in America by the National Ski Areas Association!

SKI OR RIDE IN 5 ℠ is an award-winning lesson program designed for those "never-evers" who have not had previous experiences trying to learn to ski or snowboard. The SKI OR RIDE IN 5 ℠ program offers candidates who are committed to becoming a skier or snowboarder this year by committing to a program that includes:
NOTE: This program is designed exclusively for those new to snowsports. It is not meant for someone who already knows one discipline and wants to crossover to another. If you are familiar with skiing or riding and can get on chairlifts, know about the mountain, or have done it before, this program is not for you. We will be assessing this at the outset of the program. If you are deemed to be already a snowsports participant by your instructor, we will excuse you from the program and offer you a refund for the remainder of the program cost.

SKI OR RIDE IN 5 ℠ Registration
SKI OR RIDE IN 5 ℠ enrollment is now available!
Pre-registration is required prior to starting your first lesson. Call us at 800-829-2442 to pre-register.
After you pre-register, you don't need to reserve a lesson on a specific day or time; simply show up any five days between January 5, 2015 and March 20, 2015. Two-hour lessons are offered daily at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We recommend arriving at Sunrise Lodge at least one hour prior to the lesson start time during midweek lessons, and 1.5 hours prior to lesson time for weekends & holidays, in order to get set-up with comfortable rental equipment. Weekends and holidays can be busy with larger lesson group sizes and longer wait times to rent equipment, so we recommend midweek days for the best SKI OR RIDE IN 5 ℠ experience. There's even a chance you could get a private lesson on a midweek day! Please note that only one lesson is permitted per day.

Minor Helmet Requirement
Mt. Bachelor strives to be an industry leader in Mountain Safety. To further this goal we are requiring students 17 and under in any Snowsports School lesson program to wear ski and snowboard specific helmets during lessons. For your convenience Mt. Bachelor offers helmets for rent or sale. Additional information about helmets and Snowsports can be found on the NSAA’s website at lidsonkids.org.
Kids on Lifts
Using a chair lift or gondola while skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, or even just sightseeing, is an exceptionally safe and secure mode of transportation. Nonetheless incidents and accidents can happen – especially when people are unaware of loading, riding and unloading procedures. Educate your children about loading, riding and unloading lifts. Slope safety and personal responsibility should be discussed prior to hitting the slopes or using a lift.
Keep in mind, when your child loads a lift chair without you, they may not always be riding with another adult. Remember, it's your responsibility to know how to use and ride the lift safely as well as your child's. Having the knowledge and dexterity to use the lift properly will ensure fun for everyone.
