Private Lessons

All lesson programs have concluded for the 2014-2015 winter season

Our Private Lessons provide the best value and greatest opportunity for success on the mountain for skiers and riders of any ability. They are also a great way to have your whole family learn together as a group. The instructors selected to teach Private Lessons are certified through the Professional Ski Instructors of America and have the highest level of experience. Guests can request when and where they would like to meet their instructor and select the specific focus of the lesson. Private Lessons include line-cutting privileges at all lifts to ensure more time on snow and less time waiting in line.

Private Lesson prices are for the lesson only and do not include lift ticket.

Lesson times begin at 9:00 a.m. and go out on the hour.

Reservations are highly recommended by calling 800-829-2442 by 4:00 p.m. the day prior.

Cancellation Policy

All Snowsports programs (and Childcare) have a 24-hour Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or change a lesson or childcare reservation, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to the lesson or child care date. Cancellations or changes within 24 hours of reservation date are subject to a $25 fee. Cancellations or no shows the day of the reservations will forfeit 100% of the reservation product cost. To cancel or change a reservation 24 hours or more in advance of your reservation, contact us at 800-829-2442.

Minor Helmet Requirement

Mt. Bachelor strives to be an industry leader in Mountain Safety. To further this goal we are requiring students 17 and under in any Snowsports School lesson program to wear ski and snowboard specific helmets during lessons. For your convenience Mt. Bachelor offers helmets for rent or sale. Additional information about helmets and Snowsports can be found on the NSAA’s website at

Oregon Adaptive Sports

Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS) provides teaching for a variety of skiing disciplines including two track, three track, four track, mono-skiing, and bi-skiing. Their specialized and innovative equipment and techniques provide an opportunity for anyone with a disability to learn how to ski, build self-esteem and confidence, improve fitness levels, make new friends, and have fun.

The individuals taking advantage of OAS services have a range of disabilities including visual and hearing impairments, amputations, cerebral palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, spina bifida, developmental disabilities, paraplegia, quadriplegia, and many more. Individuals with a permanent or long-term physical or neurological disability who require use of adaptive ski equipment and/or adaptive teaching techniques are eligible for participation.

Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation

Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF) is a non profit organization whose guiding philosophy is to encourage academic achievement and promote the positive values of competitive Alpine, Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, and Cycling.

Joining the MBSEF is the next step for a young skier or snowboarder who is serious about skill development and competitive training after he/she has progressed through Mt. Bachelor's Snowsports School.

As a member club of the United States Ski & Snowboard Association, all MBSEF programs are organized following the guidelines that have been established by USSA for skier development. The goals of MBSEF are to provide the opportunity for introductory to advanced levels of training and competition, assist in the healthy development of all participants through the pursuit of athletic, academic and personal goals, and to encourage academic achievement and promote the positive values developed through competitive sports.
