Summer Report

Whew – we almost forgot how good it feels to get blasted in the face with pow again! We expected some accumulation in the past 24 hours, but nothing like the foot of silky powder we ended up with. Better yet, this recent snow delivery ended up pushing our season snowfall total past 500” and it’s hard to believe we’ve got a whole ‘nother week filled with snow showers ahead! If you missed out on this sleeper pow day, not to worry – there was still a whole slew of fresh tracks to be had by the end of today and with temps expected to remain below freezing overnight, conditions on the slopes for Saturday will still be prime. Forecast calls for both winds and precip to taper off this evening, bringing us some scattered flurries throughout the day tomorrow; and then we’ll get a period of clearing just in time for Saturday night’s festivities at West Village base area! With mild weather in the forecast we plan to have all of our lifts spinning, including Summit if conditions permit.

While this fresh snowfall is beyond exciting, what we are really amped for is the second annual 10 Barrel Brewing Hella Big Air Competition that is going down tomorrow, Saturday, March 25th. Stoke levels are at an all-time high as we've been catching glimpses of our local heroes testing the jump this week, and by the looks of it, this year's action will be even bigger than last year with some serious hucking and throwdowns in store. Get all the details here and join us for a HELLA good time!

Being that we had a nice dose of winter weather up here today, the roads and parking lots will be holding on to snow and may be challenging. Please come prepared for variable road conditions by driving a properly equipped vehicle and taking it easy on your way up. And a reminder that we're all about carpooling this season! On weekends we offer those with 4 or more in a vehicle preferred parking in West Village lot as long as spots are available. With a busy day ahead, best to get an early start and beat the rush...join us for breakfast in Cocoa's Cafe from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

And finally, it's that time of year for our Springtacular Season Pass sale. Pricing and spring season operation plans are spelled out here. You won’t want to miss what is shaping up to be an amazing spring on Mt. Bachelor.
