Season Pass FAQs
If you have a Season Pass from a winter season prior to 2015-2016, you will need to purchase a new pass, as a result of a January 2015 Oregon Supreme Court decision. Mt. Bachelor introduced a new "Express Assumption of Risks" agreement that all pass holders must read and approve with an online signature. This new language appears on the back of all current season pass ID cards.
All prices and dates are subject to change. All products are non-transferable and non refundable, even if the pass is never used or picked-up, except as permitted under the Season Pass Refund Protection Plan. Passholder's age on January 1, 2017 will determine eligibility for age-restricted passes. Mt. Bachelor, at its sole discretion, will determine the length of the winter season & the operating schedule. The planned winter season, from late November through May, is subject to change. All lift ticket & season pass products will expire after the winter season closing date. A pass is to be used by the official passholder only. Mt. Bachelor will be vigilantly on the lookout for cases of pass fraud in order to protect the investment of the vast majority of law-abiding passholders. Penalties, including fines, season-long or lifetime Mt. Bachelor access bans, and/or criminal charges will be assessed to both the fraudulent user and the consenting passholder.

Mt. Bachelor, at its sole discretion, will determine the length of the winter season & the operating schedule. The planned winter season, from late November through May, is subject to change. All 4-Packs will expire after the winter season closing date. Any unused days will expire at that time as well. The 4-Pack is not valid for use during holiday periods: December 26, 2016 through January 2, 2017, January 14-15, 2017 and February 18-19, 2017. All 4-Pack sales are final. No refunds due to length of season, or for any other reason including medical emergencies and injuries, whether the pass is picked up on not. The 4-Pack is to be used by the official passholder only.
Season pass prices have increased by an average of around 5% this year. In addition to the capital investment associated with Cloudchaser, the expansion of the mountain's lift service terrain inevitable comes with increased operating costs. While we understand the frustrations affiliated with increased pass prices, we also encourage our guests to see that enhanced value of the mountain product with 635 acres of new terrain, which is often protected from our more severe and common Northwest storm patterns.
Fortunately, Mt. Bachelor has a large customer base and these cost increases can be spread over tens of thousands of customers, minimizing the impact on one person. It is also worth noting the price of day tickets this season has increased at a higher percentage than a season pass, maintaining a full season pass as the best valued product we offer. Why doesn't Mt. Bachelor sell a really cheap Adult Season Pass?
Throughout the ski industry, each resort's season pass pricing is aligned with a resort's operating costs and pass usage. Resorts that experience high utilization from their passholders typically charge more for the season pass, while resorts with low passholder utilization may offer lower prices.
Due to the close proximity to its local community, Mt. Bachelor experiences very high pass utilization - more than 15 days per season - for the average passholder. Multi-resort pass operators and those who sell high volumes of lower-priced passes typically see average utilization as low as six days per pass. Furthermore, the skiing & snowboarding population in Central Oregon is not vast enough for Mt. Bachelor to enact a successful high-volume, low-price model for season passes. Even so, Mt. Bachelor strives to make skiing and snowboarding as affordable as possible through its mix of pass products at varying price points.
Why not offer a "locals-only" pass or daily ticket?
When Mt. Bachelor offers a product, it must be made available to everyone since we operate on federal National Forest land. Different products at different prices can be offered, but a certain market or any group of individuals cannot be excluded from the offers based on place of residence. Consequently, Mt. Bachelor has created programs, passes and days that locals are more likely to take advantage of. Season Passes and the multi-week Gravity School ski & snowboard programs are two examples. Ski for Schools and Charity Ski Weeks are another. Again these programs cannot "discriminate" and must be available for all to take advantage of them.
Season Passes will be sold throughout the fall and winter. However, the best prices and lowest rates will be offered through September 30. The deadline for purchasing a season pass at the lowest pre-season rates will be 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 30.
Can I buy over the phone?
Yes, but we'd like to encourage you to buy online if at all possible. Anyone purchasing via phone will need to log-in to the Mt. Bachelor e-Store and electronically "sign" the Agreement Terms of the pass before the pass can be printed.I graduated from the "Ski or Ride in 5" program, how do I get my discounted Season Pass?

I am trying to get the e-store to work, but am having trouble. What should I do?

Is there a military discount?
Not on season pass products, but there is a military discount on daily lifts tickets (except Saturdays & holidays).
Is there a spouse or family discount?
No. Season passes are all individually-priced. Mt. Bachelor strives to make skiing and snowboarding as affordable as possible for families by pricing the Youth, Teen and Young Adult Season Passes significantly below other comparable resorts' prices for those age groups.
You can purchase a pass for yourself and for your dependents online. You may not purchase a pass for a non-dependent online, since the online process requires an electronic signature from the pass holder for the Express Assumption of Risks agreement. If you need to purchase a pass for someone other than your own dependent(s), then please call us at 1-800-829-2442 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. We will process the sale over the phone, but the pass holder will need to log-in to the Mt.
