Welcome to Otter Mountain Childcare

Mt. Bachelor’s Otter Mountain Childcare Center is a state-licensed facility, offering care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our caregivers are highly trained professionals who specialize in making your child comfortable and happy. Children ages 6 weeks to 30 months will be cared for by a staff-to-child ratio of 1 to 4.  Children ages 31 months and older have a staff-to-child ratio of 1 to 10.

Activities include: crafts, circle time, story time, videos, and a large selection of quality toys and books.      

Payment is taken at the time your reservation is made (we accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover & American Express).  If you are making reservations for other family members or friends, please have their children’s birth date(s) available as well as any other pertinent info to make the reservation process go smoothly.

SAME DAY RESERVATIONS: Please contact us first at 541-382-1709 or 1-800-829-2442 to check for availability before you head to the mountain. On extremely busy days, availability can become limited quickly.

Cancellation Policy:  You must call at least 24 hours prior to arrival date in order to receive a refund.

The Mountain Village Childcare Center is located in the lower level of the West Village Lodge, just a short walk from the main parking lot.

Otter Mountain Childcare Access Pass

Kind of like a punch card, this pass is good for 5 full days, or 10 half days (half day is 3.5 hours) of child care. That's only $55 a day for a kid older than 30 months, or $65 for a child under 30 months. Purchase of this pass is done at Otter Mountain Childcare only.

Additional Otter Mountain Childcare Information

Signature Start: 3.5 to 5 year old skiers only. The best way to get your little one skiing! Half day lesson and half day of childcare, all in one stop! Do single day or multiday, and make it easy. Signature Start includes lunch and rentals. For more information, visit Signature Start

Lunch:  Mt. Bachelor offers a box lunch for $7. Please order your box lunch at the time you make your daycare reservation. Lunches must be ordered by 10 a.m. the day of your arrival. Children may bring a sack lunch. You may enjoy lunch with your child outside of the facility from noon - 1 p.m.

Tips for Parents: Please bring the following items for infants and toddlers: disposable diapers, bottles, lunch, and extra clothing. Please label all personal belongings. It is helpful if parents provide extra pants for all children, all ages. Due to space availability, please limit personal items to one bag. Your child will be assigned a cubby for personal belongings. If you are interested in ski instruction for your child, please visit our Kids Lessons.
