	At the beginning of each meeting a brief presentation of the updated plan will be delivered by Dave Rathbun, President and General Manager of Mt. Bachelor, followed by an open question and comment period. Information presented will include a review of existing facilities and uses, the concepts, facilities and uses approved under Mt. Bachelor’s current master plan, proposed improvements included in the 2009 Master Development Plan update, and the process that will guide analysis leading to acceptance of an updated Mt. Bachelor Master Development Plan.

	Ski for Schools fund raiser
	A fundraiser to benefit the Education Foundations for Bend-La Pine and Redmond Schools will run from November 30 through December 4, 2009. The event is in its fifth year but this is the first time it will be held for a week rather than a single day. Skiers and snowboarders are urged to purchase a $20 Ski for Schools ticket and then redeem it at Mt. Bachelor any one day during the Ski for Schools week for a single day lift ticket. Tickets for the event will be on sale starting Friday, October 30th through Friday, November 28th at the following Central Oregon locations: all Mid Oregon Credit Union locations, Skjersaa’s, Powder House, Pine Mountain Sports, Side Effect, Twenty-Eight, Zydeco, 4 Season’s Recreational Outfitters (Sunriver), all three Redmond McDonald’s locations (Redmond only), Jody’s Drive-In (Redmond), the Bend-La Pine School District Office, and the Redmond School District office.

	The Derby is BACK for its third season!! This race is pure comedy and skill and it's your opportunity to win some of Josh's killer schwag from Salomon Snowboards, Dakine, Bonfire & Scott. Join Josh and his buds for a freeride event to raise money and awareness for Tyler Eklund. And NEW this year, it's legit, we have the MBSEF Official Timing System! The format will remain the same this year. Emphasizing the need for speed and nice clean lines down a fun-loving, technical banked rally course peppered with bamboo gates, hay bails, cliff drops and a little bit of airtime. Register day of, at the mountain. The cost of the event is $25 ith all registration proceeds being donated to our friend Tyler Eklund who was seriously injured three years ago while snowboarding in California. Registration is from 8 to 10 am in the lower level of the West Village Lodge. There will be 3 divisions: Snowboard, Sit Ski and Splitboard.

	2010 Riders For The Cure
	Mt Bachelor's annual fund raiser for LOCAL breast cancer research and education returns for the 6th year. Riders for the Cure was created as a way to have fun on the mountain and learn more about breast cancer. This event is NOT a competition! Everyone regardless of age or ability is welcome to take part and have fun! The event donates all net proceeds to Sara's Project at St. Charles Hospital. Sara’s Project is a breast health education and outreach partnership created by St. Charles Cancer Care. It was founded to promote early detection of breast cancer, build awareness, and provide support to women facing breast cancer. The project honors Sara Fisher, a cherished Bend teacher, counselor and active community volunteer who died in 1992 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer. Funds raised through donations, or at sponsored events, are used to support a number of initiatives to support women with breast cancer or those with an abnormal findings, provide support and services. There will be awards for the Best Pink Costume, Most Money Raised and MORE. Brochures will be available after the first of the year. So get out there and start raising donations!! Levels will be similar to years' past - packs, goggles, shirts and even bigger prizes like skis & snowboards will all be part of this fun event. There will be A LOT MORE information to come!
