The All Mountain Kids program is for skiers and snowboarders looking to develop the fundamental skills needed to advance to a competitive racing program, or for those looking to ski with a group of friends with guidance and instruction of a coach in all mountain conditions. Coaches for the race oriented groups are selected because of additional training in USSA coaching techniques and previous racing/coaching experience. The NASTAR course is now available to participants in our All Mountain Kids classes.

Tips For Success
- Make sure your child has plenty of sleep the night before. A good night’s sleep is imperative to your child’s success.
- Have your child start his or her day with a nutritious breakfast. Your child’s favorite snack in their pocket can go a long way.
- Dress your child in layers, with waterproof outer wear on last. Try to use a “wicking” material as a base layer such as wool or polypropylene. Cotton as a base layer is not recommended due to its inability to breathe and remain dry. Goggles for snow days and sunglasses on milder days or strongly recommended. As always, sunscreen is a must.
- Give yourself extra time to arrive on the mountain. We do have winter driving conditions and on busy days, traffic can be slower.
- Be familiar with the program details. If you have questions, contact Julia Carr.
- Remember if your child has FUN, they will want to participate with their team each week.

If my child wants to continue from one session to the next, what should I do?
Visit the E STORE at www.mtbachelor.com for on-line reservations of all children’s programs. You must make a reservation for EVERY session your child plans to attend. Participation is not automatically extended.
What if my child misses a week?
Mighty Mites and All Mountain Kids is a deeply discounted program, therefore we do not pro-rate or allow for make-ups if your child misses a day. If your child has never skied or snowboarded before and you expect to miss the first week we recommend they do not start the program. If your child is planning on missing more than two days of the session, we recommend attending a different session. If your child is unable to participate for 2 or more days due to injury or prolonged illness, please contact the program coordinator about options.
What if my child is late?
All groups will leave for the slopes at 9:30 sharp. If you arrive after 9:30, meet your child’s class at the bottom of the chair lift or in the staging area. Levels 1 & 2 warm up in the staging area. Level 3+ warm up on the Sunrise Chair or the Carousel Chair lifts. The teams make warm-up laps on their specified chair until 10:00. What if my child needs to leave early?
If you need to pick up your child early, please make arrangements with your child’s coach that morning. Please remember there are other children in the group and make pick-up arrangements that are convenient for the group.
Will my child have the same coach all season?
When possible we try to keep your child with the same coach. However, children always progress at different rates and re-assignments will occur in order to place your child in the most effective group. For those skiers and riders participating in consecutive sessions, learning will be continuous from session to session.
How many students are in each class?
4-5 year old Mighty Mites: between 6 - 8 students per class.
6-12 year old All Mountain Kids: between to 8 - 12 students in each class This is not guaranteed. However we do base numbers upon the level and maturity of the class. Please look for e-mails that will give you any major updates.
Is it appropriate for me to tip my child’s coach?
If your child enjoyed the experience and you feel inclined to do so, your gesture is welcome.
