FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will my child have the same coach all season?
When possible we try to keep your child with the same coach. However, children always progress at different rates and re-assignments will occur in order to place your child in the most effective group. For those skiers and riders participating in consecutive sessions, learning will be continuous from session to session.
How many students are in each class?
5-6 year olds: up to a 8 students per class
7-12 year olds: up to 10 students in each class
This is not guaranteed. If you are interested in smaller classes, visit “Lessons” at mtbachelor.com and consider our Signature Programs or a private lesson.
What if my child misses a week?
Mighty Mites is a deeply discounted program, therefore we do not pro-rate or allow for make-ups if your child misses a day. If your child is a level one and you expect to miss the first week we recommend they do not start the program (Session 1 only). If your child is planning on missing more than two days of the session, we recommend attending a different session. If your child is unable to participate for 2 or more days due to injury or prolonged illness, please contact the program coordinator about options.
What if my child is late/ needs to leave early?
Teams leave the staging area promptly at 9:30. If you arrive after 9:30, meet your child’s class at the bottom of the chair lift. Level 1 & 2 warm up on the Poma lift or Carrousel. Level 3+ warm up on Sunrise Chair. The teams make warm-up laps on their specified chair until 10:00. After 10:00 the groups are free to leave the Sunrise area and explore Mt. Bachelor. If you are late, it is the parent’s responsibility to wait with your child until their group is found. If you need to pick up your child early, please make arrangements with your child’s coach that morning. Please remember there are other children in the group and make pick-up arrangements that are convenient for the group.
Do the Mighty Mites & All Mountain Kids get express lift line privileges?
Yes! All Mt Bachelor Ski and Snowboard School students get express lift line privileges. This means more mileage and more fun!
Will my child ride with their coach?
We cannot guarantee your child will ride the lift with their coach. Coaches do cover lift riding rules and procedures with all students. Our lift operators are also trained in the loading and unloading of children. Please contact Jenn Simon, the program coordinator if you have further concerns.
How will we find out about changes and up-coming events?
Please look for e-mails that will give you any major updates.
If my child wants to continue from one session to the next, what should I do?
Visit the E STORE at www.mtbachelor.com for on-line reservations of all children’s programs. Each session has a reservation deadline of the Wednesday prior to the session start date or earlier if a session becomes full. You must make a reservation for EVERY session your child plans to attend. Participation is not automatically extended.

Is it appropriate for me to tip my child’s coach?
If your child enjoyed the experience and you feel inclined to do so, your gesture is welcome.
Can we get rental equipment at Mt. Bachelor?
Yes. The rental department does provide a season’s lease for $159. Please make arrangements at the West Village rental shop located on the upper level of the Ski and Sport building.
