Mt Bachelor's Guide to Snowsports

Play in the snow with us!

Welcome to your Mt. Bachelor Snowsports School homepage. Every year we introduce thousands of eager (and also timid) folks just like you to the benefits and joys of an active winter lifestyle. We’re not just ski or snowboard instructors, we’re locals, moms, dads, students, teachers, professionals and friends.

Whether you have been in the sport for decades or have never tried it out before, we take pride in making sure we offer a program tailored to your needs – and there are lots of new ones this year! This page is designed to help you find your best options. Thanks for stopping by and we look forward to sharing our love of the mountains with you.

Which offering is right for me or my family?

We have put together a Snowsports Guide to help you navigate through the programs we offer.

"I’ve never skied or snowboarded before."

"I’m visiting this winter and want to pick the right programs for me/my kids."

We’ve all been there. It can be daunting to try a new sport. It doesn’t have to be. Let us help you. Skiing and riding is not just a sport, it’s a way to make new friends, a way to stay active in winter and is enjoyable for a lifetime. Here are just a few of the offerings for first time or beginner guests.

Mt. Bachelor is a big mountain. Over 3600 acres of terrain will be here waiting for you. You want to see it all and ski it well. Or maybe you want to make sure that your kids have a ball and/or stay out of your hair. We can help you handle the deep powder, stoke out the kids, or guide your whole family as a group.

Little Rippers and Max 5 for Kids
One of our most popular programs. Small class size, big fun.

Private Lessons
The most attention and instruction. For you or the whole family.

Adult Workshops
Bring along your friends who don’t ski.

"I live locally or at least I visit a lot and want something for my kids akin to summer camp."

"I want to focus on a specific goal or technique and want specialized instruction."

Are those guys lucky or what? Mt. Bachelor Kids Camps are pretty awesome. Kids get the same coach each time. They ski or ride with lots of the same kids each week, make tons of friends and end up knowing the terrain better than mom or dad. New this year they include a season pass!

Mighty Mites - daily sessions for 3, 5, or 10 weeks
Learning through fun for ages 4-5 with free season pass

All Mountain Kids – daily  sessions for 3, 5, or 10 weeks
Make new friends and if you want to, get good enough to compete as an athlete

There’s a lot of ways to enjoy the mountain. There are a lot of different types of terrain and techniques to choose from. We’ll help you conquer that bugaboo or expand your horizons with direct instruction regardless of your individual goals. We offer specialized instruction in these areas and more.
