Mt. Bachelor's 3,683 acres are located entirely within the Deschutes National Forest and surrounded by 2 million acres of forested wilderness. While being in such a natural environment allows for scenic beauty rarely visible elsewhere, it also means that Mt. Bachelor is not able to offer overnight accommodations at the base of the ski area itself. Instead, Mt. Bachelor partners with lodging properties in our base communities of Bend and Sunriver, which are each 20-25 minutes away in driving time.
Most lodging properties offer transportation options to and from the mountain, and the Mt. Bachelor Shuttle operates multiple trips daily between Bend and Mt. Bachelor. So if you don't want to drive, you don't have to!
