Sunday Series
Hips Don't Lie

On March 4 Mt Bachelor will be playing host to the first of four fun new events. Hips Don't Lie isn't about curvaceous arcing turns or fancy footwork, it seeks to find the truth. The truth about who blasts the biggest, who has the most impressive bag of tricks, and who's style is the most seductive. Hips Don't lie will get to the bottom of all of it.

The contest will be a single, spine-style Hip (with landings on either side of the lip) and will be open to anyone who wants to show off, Skiers and Snowboarders alike. There will be one and a half hours for skiers and riders who think that they're finals material to set themselves apart from the mass, and another hour for the podium places to be established.

Prizes from Burton, Anon, Red, DC, Lib Tech, GNU, Spacecraft, Nike Snowboarding, Dakine and many more, will be doled out to the top three skiers and snowboarders (both guys and gals)

The Sunday Series is all about fun - it's an all ages event and it's open to skiers and snowboarders alike, men and women.

Prizes will be handed out to the top three in the following categories:
Men's Snowboard
Women's Snowboard.
Men's Ski
Women's Ski

Registration will be held in the Caldera (on the first floor of the West Village Lodge) starting at 8 a.m. and participation will cost just $15 or $50 for all 4!

Sunday Series
Backwoods Boardercross (and Skiercross)

The Second Sunday in March we will convene on Leway, just northwest of the Pine Martin Lodge. The run most of us know as Moto will be the course for The Second Sunday of Sunday Series. Backwoods Boardercross is a new spin on the Classic banked slalom; taking cues from the Dirksen Derby and a couple from slopetyles as well. We're calling it a speed and style:

The race will include all the ups, downs and high-G turns of your typical cross course - add a couple doubles and a big finish at Triple Nipple.

The winner will be the one who posts the fastest time and throws down the hardest at the end.

The Sunday Series is all about fun - it's an all ages event and it's open to skiers and snowboarders alike, men and women

Prizes will be handed out to the top three in the following categories:
Men's Ski
Women's Ski
Men's Snowboard
Women's Snowboard.

Registration will be held in the Caldera (on the first floor of the West Village Lodge) and participation will cost just $15!
