Woodward Peace Park Championships

2020 CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT CANCELLED — SET TO RETURN TO MT. BACHELOR IN SPRING 2021

In compliance with Governor Brown’s mandate for gatherings and following recommended state social-distancing, we are cancelling events that would bring large numbers of people together, including the Woodward Peace Park Championships scheduled to be hosted by Mt. Bachelor April 22-26, 2020 during the second annual Rendezvan festival. RendezVan 2020 has also been cancelled and will return for 2021. In these fluid times our commitment is to the health and safety of our staff, our guests, and our community.  We were greatly looking forward to hosting such an epic event at this spring, however we are excited to confirm that the Woodward Peace Park Championships will take place at Mt. Bachelor in Spring of 2021.

The Woodward Peace Park Championships are a season culminating, pro gathering that pairs the best riders in the world with the most innovative park ever built. We are proud to announce that Mt. Bachelor will host the first ever debut to Oregon of the Woodward Peace Park Championships this April 22-26, 2020.

Woodward Peace Park is a collaborative partnership between POWDR, a family-owned adventure lifestyle company and Mt. Bachelor’s parent company, and Danny Davis – a Grand Prix Winner, X Games Gold Medalist, Dew Tour Champion, and a U.S. Olympic Snowboard athlete. Danny Davis founded Peace Park in 2011 with the hopes of breaking traditional terrain park formulas and reinventing freestyle terrain with a focus on transition, creativity, flow and fun. In 2019, POWDR and Davis came together and established Woodward Peace Park. The partnership builds on Davis’ original vision and scales access by making Peace Park open to the public to ride and enjoy at Woodward Mountain Park locations across the country. The 2020 Woodward Peace Park Championships will take place at the same time as RendezVan  – a multi-day camp, ski, and live music event that celebrates Mt. Bachelor's famed RV and van-life culture located in the mountain's West Village base area.

“I’m a big fan of Mt. Bachelor — and good music and van culture — so bringing the Woodward Peace Park Championships to Mt. Bachelor on the same week as RendezVan was a no brainer,” says Davis. “The inaugural Woodward Peace Park Championships at Boreal California in 2019 elevated the experience and I can’t wait to collaborate with Woodward Mt. Bachelor and see how the event comes to life on Mt. Bachelor’s unique volcanic terrain.”
