Public Snowshoe & Ski With a Ranger Tours Cancelled Due to COVID-19

Updated: March 13, 2020

Discover Your Forest’s Public Ski and Snowshoe tours will not be offered for the remainder of the season due to safety concerns related to COVID-19.  This includes all Junior Snow Ranger, Snowshoe with a Ranger and Ski with a Ranger Programs. In addition, we will not be offering Project SNOW and Snow School field trip programs. This decision was made by our Forest Service partners out of an abundance of caution with gatherings and a recognition that the health and safety of our volunteers, visitors and staff is of the utmost importance.

Snowshoe and Ski with a Ranger programs were scheduled to run at Mt. Bachelor through March 29, 2020. Up to date information about Forest Service Snowshoe and Ski programs can be found at  discoveryourforest.org

As part of these free programs, donations are accepted to help non-profit Discover Your Forest continue to provide educational programming and volunteer support to the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and the Crooked River National Grassland. If you would still like to support these programs, you can do so by visiting discoveryourforest.org/donate

Discover Your Forest is the proud non-profit partner of the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and Crooked River National Grassland.  Along with their parent non-profit, Discover Your Northwest, is committed to connecting visitors and volunteers with Central Oregon’s National Forests through great visitor services, accessible interpretive programs and opportunities to support public lands.
