DISC GOLF

TWO FREE COURSES AT THE BASE OF A VOLCANO

Test your disc golf skills at one of Oregon’s most scenic disc golf courses, set among the forests and open meadows of the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center. Our two courses are free to play and offer a fun mix of terrain for all skill levels with the beginner 9-hole Green Course or the longer, more difficult 18-hole Black Diamond Course. Bring your discs (or purchase them at Mt. Bachelor Sports Pro Shop), take in the serene landscape, and enjoy a round (or two) unlike any other in Central Oregon.

THE COURSES

 

The Green Course for disc golf at Mt. Bachelor.

THE GREEN COURSE

This course is the easier of the two and takes roughly an hour, featuring nine holes ranging from 200 to 400 feet witha 60-foot elevation gain and 40-foot elevation loss.

THE BLACK DIAMOND COURSE

This course is more difficult and takes close to two hours, featuring eighteen holes ranging from 200 to 600 feet with a 185-foot elevation gain and 157-foot elevation loss.

Disc Golf Helpful Hints

  • Wear appropriate footwear.
  • You will need to provide your own discs, or they can be purchased at Mt. Bachelor Sports Shop.
  • Sometimes, discs can become lost – please label them with your name and contact information.
  • Lost discs, if recovered, can be picked up at the Mt. Bachelor Sports Shop front counter.
  • Be prepared for changing weather by wearing appropriate clothing.
  • Always make sure fairways are clear before throwing.
