Terms and Conditions for the Mt. Bachelor Signature Multi-Week Programs
We welcome you and your family to our Mt. Bachelor Signature program. We are committed and passionate about making your mountain experience memorable and rewarding. We strongly value a “student and team-centered” lesson environment. To achieve the most supportive lesson experience for your family, we ask that both parents and students commit to the terms and conditions of our program.
Skill Level
Please review how we define skiing/riding ability levels at Mt. Bachelor here: Lesson Skill Levels & Abilities. After you purchase your child's program, please check you confirmation email and fill out the Mandatory Ability Skills Survey form for the session you have purchased to ensure all contact information is correct, we can place athletes on appropriate teams, and anything else you may feel is helpful for coaches to know prior to working with you and your athlete.
If you have questions, please email multiweeks@mtbachelor.com. Our program supervisors will try to verify ability levels before the session starts.
Communication
Be respectful of the lesson experience and save communication between coaches and parents to the beginning and end of the lesson. Interrupting the lesson experience for one child affects the experience for all the children.
Program supervisors will email all participants each week of the program. Please read these emails carefully as they will confirm the participant’s program, discipline, and level, as well as pass on essential information to make your experience streamlined. We will have coaching assignments in the email. It’s a good idea to know the name of all the coaches assigned to your child’s age and level.
Expected Behavior
Our expectation is for a safe and fun learning experience for all students. If a child is physically aggressive or bullies another child, they may be asked to leave the program. Parents are expected to use appropriate language and behavior with other parents, coaches, and in the presence of children.
Attendance
To ensure the continuity of the program, you should plan on attending all the days in your session. All students must attend the first week of the program. If you are unable to attend the first week of the program, we may need to transfer your child to another session or program.
Classes leave promptly at their scheduled time. Please have your student at their class level sign and ready to go with all equipment at least 15 minutes before the start of class. If you arrive late and your child misses the class departure time, you are responsible for your child until the supervisor locates their class. If the class has left the base area, your child may forfeit their lesson for the day, and no make-up or refund will be provided. However, our goal is to connect students with their teams when possible. Mighty Mites, All-Mountain Progression, and Park Rats start at 9:00 a.m. Sunday afternoon sessions of Mighty Mites start at 12:30 p.m.
We will run regardless of weather conditions 99% of the time. Weather conditions include sun, snow, wind, or rain. It is infrequent to cancel the program due to weather; however, if there is a resort closure, we will determine a plan of action that morning. Check the Mountain Report for resort operating information. We do not offer makeup days, drop-ins, or switching between sessions if you choose to skip a lesson. In the rare event of an entire mountain closure on a lesson day, Mt. Bachelor will designate a make-up day for all affected session participants for the 10-week sessions only. Only one make-up day will be scheduled for the session. The 4-week sessions will not have any make-up days. In the event of a complete session cancellation, refunds will be prorated based on the completion of the session. No additional make-up days will be provided if a student cannot or chooses not to participate on the designated make-up day.
Proof of Registration
The Mt. Bachelor website generates a confirmation letter automatically, so please make sure you enter a valid email in your web store profile. Please make sure to save your confirmation letter and check it to ensure your child’s session and discipline are correct. You might not be signed up for the program if you did not receive a confirmation letter. If you have purchased the wrong session or discipline, please contact us at multiweeks@mtbachelor.com.
Lift Access
All participants must have a season pass or daily lift ticket. If you purchase a season pass, it’s a good idea to pick it up before the first day. If you forget your child’s season pass, you will need to purchase a Mt. Bachelor pass card online or at the ticket counter.
All children will be taught how to ride a chairlift properly in our lessons. Please be aware your child may ride the chairlift with other children, a resort guest, or their coach. We cannot guarantee your child will ride with an adult every time.
Ready, Willing, and Able
Please make sure your child is:
Ready to separate from their parents
Willing to ski or snowboard
Able to participate in the full length of the program lesson
I Feel My Child Has Been Placed in the Wrong Group
Coaches and the program supervisor will determine the correct level for your child. If you think your child has been placed in the wrong group, please speak to a program supervisor or your child’s coach before or after the lesson.
I Want to Request a Coach for My Child
We are unable to accommodate specific coach requests.
Refunds – Cancellation Policy
The Mt. Bachelor cancellation policy applies to all Ski and Ride School products.
Specific to the multi-week signature programs:
Lesson or program reservations may be canceled at any time up until 5:00 p.m. the day prior to your scheduled program start date in exchange for a winter credit valued at 100% of the product cost. Credit will be automatically loaded onto the purchaser’s account and can be applied to any future lesson, rental, or lift access product purchase (of equal or lesser value), valid for redemption at any time throughout the season in which it was issued.
After the scheduled program start time, there will be no refunds available.
There are no refunds for any session that has started or is underway. Once a session begins, changes are not allowed. Although the programs are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, children cannot mix & match Saturday & Sunday attendance.
The program fee is structured such that each enrolled participant is paying for the option to attend every lesson day offered during the session. Mt. Bachelor is reserving a spot for your child each day of the session, and Mt. Bachelor cannot resell any vacated spots once a session begins. Accordingly, program fees are not pro-rated per day, and there shall be no provision for partial refunds if a child misses one or more lesson days.
There are no make-up days for individuals who miss a lesson day.
In the rare event of an entire mountain closure on a lesson day, Mt. Bachelor will designate a make-up day for all affected session participants; this only applies to the 10-week sessions. No additional make-up days will be provided if a student cannot or chooses not to participate on the designated make-up day.
Additional Information
The first day of a program session is spent assessing children’s skills to place them in the appropriate groups based on ability and level. Starting on the second day of the session, your child will remain with that group for the entirety of the session.
All parents and students must agree to the terms and conditions of the All-Mountain Progression, Park Rats, and Mighty Mites skiing or snowboarding programs. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in a child being asked to leave the program without refunding the program cost.
We appreciate your cooperation, and we look forward to a great winter!
