Mt. Bachelor hosts one of the longest and best spring seasons, with a vibe all its own. From morning turns on the mountain, to afternoon activities on nearby trails and rivers, to evening fun in Bend — Mt. Bachelor is the perfect basecamp for all-day spring adventure.

RendezVan at Mt. Bachelor
EVENTS

Springtime is when the event calendar explodes with action. Nearly every weekend from mid-March to closing is jam-packed with entertainment both on the mountain and in town. Our flagship event, RendezVan, has been a major highlight of each season since its inception in 2019. This three-day festival is built around all the things we love about the mountain and spring. From camping in the parking lot to endless corn snow laps, it is free to the public and quite the party. Each night awesome bands hit the stage in West Village and each day is full of fun competitions, giveaways, parking lot games, and good food. WOODWARD MOUNTAIN PARKS

Aptly named after Oregon beaches, our Woodward Parks are built to last the whole spring. These surfy playgrounds are full of fun features from top to bottom with different levels of progression. Each park is designed for specific ability levels, giving you the confidence to progress your skills in a comfortable environment. Hone your skills in PP3 and then move on to bigger features in Otter Rock or Cannon Beach. Not to mention, the halfpipe is a blast in the spring.

Spring Private Lessons
BEST TIME TO LEARN

Spring is a great time to hop on skis or a snowboard for the first time. The weather is nice, and the snow is soft, making for an awesome learning environment. With lessons running until the end of April and beginner lifts spinning until closing weekend, you just might find a new hobby that has you eager for next winter! PARKING LOT TAILGATES

Unlike a lot of resorts in the country, Mt. Bachelor is very welcoming to tailgating in our parking lots. We certainly ask that you do it responsibly (no drinking and driving or drinking and skiing/riding) but there is a time and place for everything. Springtime means beautiful weather and great snow so please, pack the grill, set up your cornhole boards, throw a frisbee, and kick back in your favorite lawn chair. Our parking lot scene is what makes Bachelor an awesome place to be in the Spring and we would be lying if we said that we don’t take advantage of the privilege on our days off too. Keep the good times going overnight and wake up slopeside by booking an Overnight RV Camping spot.

SKI & RIDE OFF SUMMIT

The Summit Express chairlift at Mt. Bachelor is one of the most iconic lifts in the Pacific Northwest. Operating entirely above the tree-line, the views from the chair, and the Summit, are a worthwhile experience in their own right. Once at the top, the Oregon Cascade range shows itself, with views all the way to Mt. Hood on a clear day and even Mt. Shasta down in California. After snapping a few photos, it's time to ride down. This, among many other reasons, is why Mt. Bachelor is so special. When both Cloudchaser Express and Northwest Express lifts are also open, guests can ski/ride all 360° of the mountain. Pick your line from the top of the chairlift, or go on a short 10-minute hike to the true summit. On a warm spring day, there are likely endless corn snow turns for springtime skiing and riding that is unlike any other resort in the country.
