Significant Snowfall:
After kicking off the season strong in November, the momentum carried into December with a solid snow performance. We recorded 98" of snowfall for the month, with the bulk arriving during the holiday season. There was plenty of powder to go around for the skiers and riders who flocked to the mountain in search of fresh turns from Christmas through New Year's. The snowpack peaked at a robust 111" by the end of the month.
January started off promising—we hit the 100" snowfall mark early—but then Mother Nature traded storm days for sunshine. For nearly three weeks, we experienced what many dubbed "Juneuary," with bluebird skies and warm temperatures. At the start of February, winter came roaring back. That month brought 64" of new snow and a growing base that reached 127" by month’s end.
But it was March that truly stole the show. By March 2nd, we had already celebrated 100 days of operations, and the snowfall didn’t let up. March delivered a whopping 106" of snow, pushing our base depth to a season-high 157" on March 18—the deepest we’ve seen in over a decade.
April opened with a classic pow day on the 1st, but quickly transitioned into sunshine and spring vibes. We saw just 14" of snow for the month, but the bluebird weather made for what many are calling the best RendezVan conditions of all time. Summit laps were plentiful, with 25 out of 30 days of Summit operations. In total, Summit was open for 80 days this season—43% of our operational days. Spring held on into May. Even though we only received 11" of snowfall, the base remained strong, with a monthly high of 104". All in all, it was a season for the books.
